Excursion to the roman columns on board of the "Gemini", the boat with underwater vision which is provided with a glass keel 90cm underwater, so that it allows people on board to look at the sea bottom while seated. Gemini is 10mt long and can contain 30 people at maximum, it is equipped with a fridge, a microphone, a sound system, a shower and toilet facilities. We suggest you to wear a swimming suit, open-toed shoes and a towel.
The boat leaves from the Balata port in Marzamemi, at the jetty “Nautica il Paguro”, “Marzamemi” street at the beginning of the road.
10:00 a.m./ 4:00 p.m.: Arrival in Marzamemi at the jetty “Nautica il Paguro”, greeting on board from the Gemini crew and departure to the discovery of the roman columns, dated back to the IV century b.C, layed down on a 6mt deep sea bottom, of course with the explanation of a guide.
11:00 a.m./ 5:00 p.m.: We will move along the coast for a wonderful bath, on a sandy and crystal clear sea bottom and we will offer you some refreshments.
11:45 a.m./ 5:45 p.m.: Return to the port and here, together with the guide, we will have a walk around the fascinating fishing village of Marzamemi, where it seems like time has stopped to when the Tonnara provided a job for more than 100 people; we will visit an artisan laboratory where they produce tuna “bottarga”, tuna in oil and salted anchovy still using traditional methods.
12:30 a.m./ 6:30 p.m.: Free time for shopping and goodbye till the next excursion.
